foodpanda is the biggest on demand delivery service in south east Asia. Present in 13 markets across Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, Pakistan and now also Japan. 
I’ve worked with the brand consistently for the last 4 years on everything from logo and identity design, to creating integrated campaigns, production guidelines, and working really closely with their local team, coaching them on design guidelines, working processes, scaling and localisation of their creatives for performance marketing.

Also in November 2019 we started a big Product design refresh the team conducted across the central and local teams, where we worked on immersion sessions, vision and principles workshops, wireframes, testing and coming up with a roadmap for the future of their experience together with the London based agency Design Studio.


foodpanda was given a bright and bold signature colour pink, offering a wide range of expression. Rich in contrast for accessibility, the colour was carefully developed to set foodpanda apart from its competitors. When analysing the competitive landscape, noone was using pink as a brand colour in all the regions. 
Concept ideation for our apps, implementing a softer ‘panda touch’ to everything we do and all of our principles.

A bold but controlled display typeface, gave foodpanda the perfect voice to communicate the engaging tone of voice, across all screens and mediums. It provides human warmth and a personal sensibility to the brand. Combined with a pragmatic and highly functional sans serif to maximise legibility on smaller copy, the typopgraphy strikes a balance between human warmth and technical precision.


By using different shapes of our Panda and its appearance—which will run through the brand as a fun and surprising element—helping you with everything from onboarding to actual ordering or payment.
